Growing through the Seasons: A Unique Garden Course for the Kootenays

Course Details

March to October, 2025

Come learn from our 48 years of experience as we plant, grow, harvest and store food from our sustainable, organic garden and orchard, Located NW of Castlegar. This unique course will span the entire growing season with monthly classes specifically tailored to the time of year.

Structure
Each month we will be studying and discussing what is happening in our garden and orchard. Participants will be able to observe the progress and problems in the garden from planting to harvesting, and in the orchard from bare branches to harvest time.

You will learn the art and science of growing vegetables, grains, and fruit using sustainable methods.  Discussions will be held to address specific questions and areas of interest.

Dates and Times
The course will be held on Sundays. All sessions will begin at 10AM and end at 4PM.

Cost
Individual:  $320

For those in financial need we have two, $160 scholarships available. Please contact us for application information. Scholarships will be awarded based on application criteria.
